West Country Catch was created by Tim and Lou in 2013, supplying quality fresh fish to restaurants and wholesalers in and around Dorset, Devon and Somerset. We are based in Weymouth is a seaside town in Dorset, situated on a sheltered bay at the mouth of the River Wey and 8 kilometers north of the Isle of Portland.
We responsibly source our quality fish from Weymouth and Portland boats as well as from Brixham, Plymouth and Newlyn day boats. We are in constant contact with our buyers in Brixham and Cornwall throughout day, which keeps us up to date with what is due to be landed, this means we are able to provide you with some of the finest fish off the coast of Dorset, Devon and Cornwall.
Before setting up West Country Catch in 2013 Tim, Lou and Dave had gained over 20 years combined experience, Tim trained as a chef and worked for five years in a Relais Chateaux Hotel, he then went on to train as a fish filleter in 2002 and moved on to become factory manager. Tim has a very good eye for detail and only sources top quality produce. Lou worked in the catering industry for over ten years where she gained excellent customer service skills and a good understanding of her customer needs and requirements in the catering industry. Dave had worked for 9 years as sales representative for a local fish merchant where he has gained invaluable knowledge about quality fish and has an excellent rapport with his customers.
The fish can be prepared to your exact requirements by Tim and his team and any preparation required will be carried out to the highest standard and packed with care. Your orders will be boxed up in our environmentally friendly boxes and delivered to you six days a week as well as delivering into Bristol three times a week.
